Statement of Faith
1. Doctrine of the Trinity:
We believe in one God, existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, co-equal and co-eternal.
2. Doctrine of the Incarnation:
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, and His perfect humanity, fully God and fully man.
3. Doctrine of Atonement:
We believe in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for the forgiveness of sins and reconciliation with God.
4. Doctrine of Salvation by Grace:
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by human works, and that it results in a new birth and a transformed life.
5. Doctrine of the Holy Spirit:
We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts of sin, empowers believers, and provides spiritual gifts for the building up of the church.
6. Doctrine of the Scriptures:
We believe in the divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Scriptures, the Old and New Testaments, as the written word of God, infallible and sufficient for faith and practice.
7. Doctrine of the Church:
We believe in the universal church as the body of Christ, composed of all believers, and in the local church as a community of faith, worship, and service.
8. Doctrine of Eschatology:
We believe in the second coming of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, the final judgement, and the establishment of God's eternal kingdom.
9. Doctrine of Justification:
We believe that all who have faith in Christ are justified and declared righteous before God by faith alone, apart from works of the law.
10. Doctrine of Eternal Life:
We believe in the promise of eternal life for all who trust in Jesus Christ and that believers will spend eternity in the presence of God.
This statement of faith encompasses ten fundamental Christian doctrines and provides a comprehensive overview of core beliefs within Christianity. Keep in mind that specific denominations and individual Christian communities may emphasize certain doctrines more than others or have unique doctrinal statements that reflect their theological traditions.
